Our project is continually evolving, and we try to ensure The Living Library is not only a sanctuary for plants but also that it is a learning center with the requirements to bring about our mission.

• Peyote GreenHouse Upgrade. $2620
  

We want to recreate a space for this Sacred Teacher where they can be thriving even during the rainy season. The jungle is a tough environment for Desert Plants and with time our current greenhouse needs some maintenance. With your support we can create a permanent temple for our Hikuri, that will ensure a dry space and the setting they deserve. The total amount considers the materials for walls, floor, drainage, roof and labor 

• A Permanent Temazcal Structure. $3,800
  

We're eager to construct a permanent structure that will enable us to continue our service and accommodate larger groups. Utilizing the abundant resource of stones on our land, we envision creating a stone lodge. This new lodge will expand our capacity to host more people and provide a welcoming space for all. The total amount comprehends the extra material and the labor to create the space.

• Huachuma Greenhouse        $2140.
  

Our aim for this year is to complete the New Huachuma Greenhouse, a space that will provide a home for many Sacred Teachers in need of repotting and will be planted directly in the ground. It encompasses the cost of new fresh soil and all the necessary materials.

• The Living Library Gate         $ 1600
  

We finally are ready to put a Gate to our entrance. We love and believe in community but it’s time to value our privacy and ensure safety for us and all our Plants and Guests.

• Employee payroll         $ 43,000
  

As a community, we embrace and share all contributions that support The Living Library. However, we also aspire to expand our team and implement a payroll for everyone involved, enabling us to continue our Sacred Mission. Introducing a monetary offering will facilitate our team's growth, allowing us to allocate contributions solely towards upgrading and ensuring the wellbeing of the Sanctuary.

• Water Tower     $4800
  

We strive for independence with our water systems. We wish to build a 5 meter metal platform to give needed pressure to our onsite water. 

• 1 year Payroll for our Trusted Builder Mycol Moreno 
  

If you are familiar with Central America, you may understand that reliability can be challenging to find in construction projects. Mycol is a highly experienced builder, and it would be an honor for us to have him available to finalize our Main Hall and Dormitory Space. Providing him with the stability he deserves for his expertise is important to us.

• Finance for dormitory space     $6,400
  

This past year marked significant progress, and the dormitory space will soon be ready in its basic form. While ongoing upgrades will be necessary, people can soon come and enjoy their stay here at the Sanctuary. With this amount, we will be able to repay those who loaned the necessary funds to sustain the work during these times.

• Finalize construction in the main hall/ education center        $4,300
  

The last touch that will be used to buy new and more adequate furniture to have a welcoming space for our guests. A new light system around the fire Circle, and a kitchen upgrade. 

• Parking lot      $2,300
  

Complete our parking spot to ensure that our guests have a space to park without clogging the driveway

• Pathways for walking educational tour     $1,200
  

An upgrade to our pathway, landscaping the area to offer a better walking experience while enjoying the forest to its fullest, and reaching areas with other Sacred Plants that are currently harder to access due to their positioning.

• Sponsorship of community educational dinner     $300
  

These funds will be used to create opportunities for our community to come together with the purpose of learning and sharing, as well as inviting elders who will share their wisdom and knowledge.

• Finance for Directors Cabin     $12,300
  

A private cabin for our Main Team provides them with the opportunity to reside onsite while also ensuring privacy once the workday has ended 

• 4x4 Vehicle to shuttle tribal elders and guests     $7,000
  

We live in the jungle, and our road requires a 4x4 vehicle. While we do have one truck, having an extra one will enable us to transport Indigenous Elders from\to their territories or the airport, ultimately enhancing our offerings to the community and those who wish to visit the Living Library. 

• Land Expansion Primary Rainforest Preserve Project      $340,000
  

Our vision is to eventually establish The Living Library as a Sanctuary Center where people can come and have an educational experience. Additionally, we would like to purchase a piece of land where we can grow and replant Sacred Plants, providing them with space to grow and thrive.
